Macaroni es una herramienta que maneja el mantenimiento regular del núcleo UNIX de Mac OS X. Normalmente, estas tareas se ejecutan en un horario regular, en medio de la noche. Sin embargo, si no dejas tu Mac encendido toda la noche, nunca se ejecutan. Tu Mac no despertará del sueño para manejar esto. Macaroni resuelve este problema. Si una tarea de mantenimiento programada no se ejecuta cuando normalmente está programada, Macaroni se asegura automáticamente de que se ejecute en la próxima oportunidad, siempre que la Mac esté encendida.

I'm now running High Sierra 10.13 and Macaroni still works after all these years and functions as it was designed to do in the background. It is now free. Download and use at your own discretion.

From Atomic Bird's Website: "Atomic Bird's Mac OS X titles have been discontinued and are now free. They may be downloaded and registered using information below. Note that this software is unsupported and may not work normally with the current version of Mac OS X."

It's still working in Mountain Lion by the looks of it but clearly this is unsupported software judging by the other comments and lack of updates, so I'm even wondering if it is wise to keep it installed at this point.

I have been using Macaroni for quite some time. I have sent two emails to the developer re: whether the current version is compatible with Lion but have received no answer. Can anyone answer that question for me?
Don't know if I want to continue to use it if Atomic Bird does not respond to inquires. Are they still around?

I opened/installed Macaroni v2.1.1 a long time ago but immediately removed it when I saw that it offers little insight to what it is doing, unless you are a Unix person.
But I just noticed in my Console the following 3 repeating entries:

The repeat, over and over and over again, every 10 sec (per the log). Anyone know how to get rid of this?
